The Avalanche as happy to announce the addition of Chris Anderson to the coaching staff as associate coach.
Chris, as the family name makes clear, is the brother of Avalanche Owner and head coach Shawn Anderson.
Chris has been involved in hockey development as well as coaching since the 90s.
He played a large role in the success of Evolution Ice, which was a developing rink that boasted as one of the best training facilities in Canada. He has also coached at all levels of minor hockey, as well as Midget AAA and CCHL.
His academic background ranges from attending Concordia University, as well as University of Toronto, and he had a successful career as a cardiovascular perfusionist, while continuing to training athletes.
Among players that have been under Chris’ tutelage is Theodore Dimopoulos, currently with theĀ Boston DukesĀ in the EHL. Frank, Theo’s father, firmly believes that his son’s success has been on the back of Chris’s teachings.
